Course Description:
In view of the recent increase of adverse events of applying acupuncture in treating MSK conditions, we would like to encourage physiotherapists who practice acupuncture to attend this review course. The instructors will present and discuss methods to prevent major and minor acupuncture-related adverse events, review Ontario College of TCMP standards, and provide practical sessions in needling acupuncture points which have a higher risk of major adverse events.  During the course, the instructors will also discuss a common but challenging topic, acupuncture for headaches, and present the use of various theories including TCM approach, in treating this condition.
Previous training in acupuncture is a requirement! Registrants will be contacted by the course organizers to confirm acupuncture training prior to being approved to participate!
The course is limited to 20 participants.
